About the company

Pettingell Software Company LLC

We are an Oklahoma limited liability company, formed in 2026 by two co-founders who both write code. The company exists to build and support consumer applications for Apple and Android platforms, in one area: personal health and fitness.

Being two people is a constraint we design around rather than apologize for. It means we build fewer things, we build them in small increments, and one of us has read every line of what ships. It also means we say what state something is in — an app in development is described as an app in development, here and in every store listing we file.

Our first product is Pod, a private fitness challenge app for small invited groups. Everything the company earns goes back into building it properly, which is why there is no advertising in our apps and no plan to introduce any.

The team

Both co-founders are owners of the company and both work on the product directly. The split below is where each spends most of the week, not a wall.

Co-founder

Neilson Pettingell

Leads the application side: the Flutter client for iOS and Android, integration with Apple Health and Health Connect, and verification on real devices before anything is called done.

Co-founder

Wesley Pettingell

Leads the backend: the database schema and its access rules, device synchronization, the server-side pipeline behind weekly insights, and the infrastructure the apps run on.

How we work

Local-firstHealth data is read on the device and stored on the device. Sync happens afterwards, so the app keeps working without a connection and sends as little as it can.
No feed, no followers, no advertisingOur apps are used by small invited groups. There is no public profile, no follower count, and no advertising or cross-app tracking in anything we ship.
Privacy decided in codeWhat we say about data handling is what the code does. Where a claim would be stronger than the implementation, we change the implementation or we change the claim.
Small increments, stated plainlyWork ships in reviewed steps, and status is described honestly — including when a feature is unfinished, and including in this company's own store listings.
